Create a vehicle
Allows the advisor to quickly register a vehicle while creating an appointment, ensuring the correct identification of the unit in the system through automatic business validations.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Start the appointment creation flow and access the Vehicle Creation Wizard.
- Complete the mandatory Make field.
- Enter the VIN (Chassis Number), ensuring you input exactly 17 characters.
- Validate that the VIN does not include the following prohibited characters: I, O, or Q.
- If available, enter the License Plate (optional field, with a maximum limit of 10 characters).
- Complete the complementary data fields, respecting the interface length restrictions:
- Model/Model Description: maximum 100 characters.
- Exterior Color: maximum 50 characters.
- Save the information to confirm that the vehicle is correctly linked to the current appointment.
Pro Tips / Usage Notes
Note: Although the License Plate is optional, the VIN is strictly mandatory to guarantee the unique identification of the unit within the SIMA ecosystem.
- If the VIN does not meet the exact length or contains invalid characters, the system will prevent you from proceeding. Make the correction immediately to avoid rejections or inconsistencies in later phases.
- It is advisable to enter standardized model and color descriptions to optimize future searches and ensure accurate statistical analysis of the vehicle data.
