# Labour details on the order

## Labor History

Allows you to view the chronological sequence of status changes for a labor operation within a repair order to know its actual status and improve coordination between the service advisor and the technicians.

**Step-by-Step Guide**

- **Open the corresponding repair order** and locate the labor operation you wish to review within the jobs section.
- **Expand the Detail panel** of that specific labor entry to access its event history.
- **Review the list displayed in descending chronological order** to verify the statuses the line has gone through (for example, *Allocation Indicated* or *Completed*).
- **Check the identity of the assigned technician**, viewing both their employee code and full name.
- **Verify the exact date and time stamp** when each movement in the workflow was recorded.
- **If the labor has not yet been assigned** to any workshop technician, validate that the system displays the warning message: *"Pending allocation to a technician."*

**Pro Tips / Usage Notes**

> - When a labor operation is newly created or has just been registered, it is completely normal for the history to initially show a single event in the list.
> - This view is a key tool for quickly distinguishing between jobs that are simply planned and those that already have actual time clocked or have been completed.
> - It is recommended to review this history as a preliminary step before communicating with the customer regarding the progress status of their vehicle's repair.

**Relationship with Other Modules**

This history directly connects the operational management of the order with the **Technician Planning** module and the **Workshop Tracking** screen, ensuring consistency and traceability of productive repair times.

## Management of the "Requires Estimate" Indicator

Allows you to visually identify and manage whether a specific labor operation is subject to the customer's financial approval before starting its execution or logging times in the workshop.

**Step-by-Step Guide**

- **Access the work order** and open the Detail view of the Labor entry you need to manage.
- **Locate the visual indicator** that provides information about the current estimate status of that line.
- **Toggle on the "Requires Estimate" control** if the task mandatorily requires prior financial acceptance by the customer before being carried out.
- **Ensure that the alert indicator remains visible** next to the labor description as a warning for the entire technical team.
- **Toggle off the "Requires Estimate" control** once customer approval has been received and confirm that the visual indicator disappears from the interface.

**Pro Tips / Usage Notes**

> - The visual indicator is perfectly visible to workshop profiles (such as mechanics), but the system restricts its modification, allowing its management only for users with the **Service Advisor** role.
> - Keeping this mark active acts as a critical safety barrier that prevents the accidental start of complex or costly operations that have not yet been authorized by the customer.
> - It is a good practice to verify this status before starting or pausing any **session stopwatch** to ensure the reliability of the productivity data recorded in the workshop.

**Relationship with Other Modules**

This indicator directly links the advisor's view with the workshop workflow, coordinating with **Workshop Planning** to prevent tasks from starting without financial validation, and directly impacting the preparation of the estimate and the final invoicing of the order.
