# DDP - Delivery point to the dealer

What is a DDP (Dealer Delivery Point)?

A **DDP (Dealer Delivery Point)** represents the physical location or authorized logistics center where a dealer or the importer's network receives vehicles from the Importer.

Unlike the factory delivery point (port or importer's central yard), the DDP defines the **final dealer delivery destination** and includes the following key data:

- Point identifier code and description
- Address
- Postal code (essential requirement for issuing transport guides)
- Dealer(s) or brand to which it belongs or is enabled

🎯 What is it for?

The DDP acts as the link between commercial management (**Ordering/Proposals**) and logistical execution (**SIMA / Orders and Transport Guides / Logistics operators like Rodocargo**). Its main functions are:

- Order Destination Assignment: Ensures that each unit requested from the factory or assigned from stock knows its exact destination.
- Assignment and Transfer Management: Specifies the reception DDP when requesting a vehicle from the network.
- Exhibition Vehicles (Showroom): Defines the physical facility where the vehicle will be located for exhibition and facilitates its logistics if returned or transferred.
- Additionally, in some cases or markets, if configurations with SIMA are provided, it also allows for:
- - Planning and Transport Guides: Provides the exact point and postal code to logistics systems and automatic interfaces (such as Rodocargo or Sales Logistics API) to generate orders and guides without errors
    - Location Control in SIMA: Automatically reflects and synchronizes real-time changes in the vehicle's physical location.

**DDP Types**

- General / Common: Available to all brand dealerships
- Own: Exclusively associated with a specific dealership
- When we also have a special parameterization to view all delivery points, we can manage how they are displayed, showing the market DDPs ordered by priority (1st Own → 2nd General → 3rd Other dealerships), always showing the default one for the dealership first.

**Conditions according to Vehicle Status**

- Dealer: You can select or edit the DDP on orders in a status prior to "Arrived at Importer". Once the flow has advanced, you cannot remove it on your own.
- Importer: You can assign, modify, or unassign (clear) the DDP on your own orders or network orders up to the status "Arrived at Importer"
- In later statuses (in transit or delivered), direct editing is not allowed.

**🖥 How and where is it used?**

To  be able to start using this functionality, we need to have the DDPs defined in the system.

- Order Card / Detail (Transport Section): Display of the assigned DDP and edit/selection button
- Order Creation Wizard: Selection of the destination DDP during the configuration flow and in the summary prior to confirmation
- Commercial Proposal Manager: Unified selector displayed when converting a proposal into an order or linking it to a vehicle
- Transfer Request (Network Orders): Modal dialog requesting the reception DDP when ordering a network vehicle
- Showroom / Exhibitions Module: Selection of the exhibition DDP (automatically cleared if the vehicle is returned to the importer)
- Order Search and CSV Export: DDP information columns included in searches and CSV downloads
