Observation management in a vehicle

## Record remarks on an order

The section **Remarks** allows the dealership to add or update a note on one of its orders to leave useful information for its tracking.

## 📌 Requirements and Location

**Location in SIMA:** Order detail > Summary > Remarks  
**Required permissions:** The order must belong to the dealership with which you logged in.

The section is only displayed on own orders; it does not appear on network orders belonging to another dealership.

## 🛠️ Step by Step

### Add or modify a remark

**Objective:** Leave a visible note in the order detail to facilitate its tracking.

-   Open the **Order detail** and go to the tab **Summary**In the section
-   Remarks**, click on the edit icon.**Type the remark. The field supports up to
-   200 characters**Click on** Save

**Result:** The remark appears in the summary along with the date of the last edit and the user who saved it.

### Cancel changes

**Objective:** Discard the text you are editing and keep the saved note.

-   While editing the note, click **Cancel**

**Result:** Unsaved changes are discarded and the last saved note is displayed again.

### Delete a note

-   Click the edit icon and delete the text in the field.
-   Click **Save**

**Result:** The section will contain no text and show **No notes**

## ❓ Frequently Asked Questions and Troubleshooting

**Why don't I see the Notes section?**It is only shown for orders belonging to the dealership you are currently logged in with. It does not appear for orders belonging to another dealership.  

**How many characters can I write?**The maximum is 200 characters. If the text exceeds that limit, shorten it before saving.  

**Why is the Save button not enabled?**Save is only enabled when the text changes from the existing observation. If you haven't made any changes, there is nothing new to save.  

**How do I discard an edit without saving it?**Click  
Cancel**. The text will revert to the last saved observation.**

**Can I leave the observation empty?**Yes. Delete the text and save to leave the section without observations.
