# FAQs Customers & Providers

## FAQs Customers & Providers

## General Module

## 🚩 Blocked SIMA Account

If your SIMA access key is blocked, you must contact a manager at your company.

For security reasons, AIDA is not authorized to unblock users.

## 🚩 Index out of array bounds error

Sometimes when trying to print, a message appears saying "Error index out of array bounds, using device...". To try to resolve it, you can perform the following actions:

- Exit SIMA and log back in.
- Verify that you have a printer configured as the default in your Windows profile:
- If not, select the printer you want as the default. Try printing again.
- If you already have a default printer configured, select any other as default and then set your desired printer as default again.
- If the error persists, try configuring the printer in SIMA by USER for that document as explained in the FAQ \[Printer Configuration\].

## 🚩 New user

To give a new user access to SIMA there are two options:

- If the user is not created in another company in that database, a NEW user must be created.
- If the user already exists in another company in that database, that user must be REGISTERED in the new company.

### User registration

To give a user access to another SIMA it is not necessary to create them as new — it is sufficient to register them in the SIMA they need access to.

Also, verify that the user has the following permissions, or enable them:

- Permission to access the module (Commercial, Spare Parts, Services)
- Permission to access the center and division
- If applicable, permission in the warehouse where they want to operate
- Permissions for the required operations

You can also enable permissions by assigning the user the profiles they need.

## 🚩 Copy permissions between users

This article explains how to copy permissions between users who should have the same active features.

- Access user settings from any module at: **General Tab → Users Option → Users Button**.
- In the enabled window, search for the user you want to grant new permissions to, using any of the available filter parameters.
- Once the user is located, access their profile.
- When the user profile view opens, access the permissions window through the **Pencil button**, selecting the **Permissions** option.
- In the permissions window, select the **Copy** option from the left menu.
- Click the **Magnifying glass button** and the user search window will appear, where you can search for the user whose permissions you want to copy.
- Finally, choose what you want to copy and click the **Accept** button.

## 🚩 Printer configuration

To access the print configuration, go from any module at: **General Tab → Documents Option → Printers Menu**.

The recommendation is to configure printers by User and not by Document. If a company with different sales locations configures by document, all locations will have the same print configuration for that document.

Once the User option is selected, the **User Print Configuration** window opens, where you must select:

- Area the document belongs to: Commercial, Services, Spare Parts...
- Document: the document for which you want to change the print configuration
- Copies: number of copies to print by default
- To search for the desired printer, click the magnifying glass button
- Once you choose the desired printer, its name appears in the Printer field
- Finally, click the green check button

## 🚩 Load images on the SIMA home screen

The SIMA home screen displays company logos.

These images are loaded from SIMA. The images to be loaded must be in a folder created to store images that does not change over time.

Image specifications: 352x50 in .jpg format

To access the image configuration, follow these steps:

- Go to: **General Tab → Configuration Button → Customization Option**.
- Double-click with the left button on the image to configure.
- Right-click and in the menu that appears select the Open option.
- Find the image.
- Once selected, click on another image so that the current one is saved.

## 🚩 Creating a category for a third party

To create a new category for a third party, proceed from the third-party file at: **\[+ Button → Categories → New category\]**. The dealership itself can do this.
